About

I’m Timon, a qualified accountant who got very distracted by AI.

It started innocently enough.

First it was: “Can this fix my Power Query M code?”
Then: “Can it help me learn Power Automate?”
Then: “Hang on, it can read my CSV data and give me usable insights without me wrestling with Excel for an hour?”

That was the point I stopped seeing AI as a novelty and started seeing it as genuinely useful for finance people.

I’ve spent most of my career working across practice, FP&A, and in-house finance. So I know the pain points. The reporting bottlenecks. The messy data. The month-end grind. The spreadsheet nobody wants to touch. The process everyone knows is broken but nobody has time to fix.

AI won’t solve every problem in finance.

But it can solve a lot more than most people think.

The issue is that most professionals only ever see the surface level: ask a chatbot a question, get an answer, move on. Helpful, sure. But that’s a tiny slice of what’s possible.

There’s a huge gap between “using ChatGPT now and then” and building practical AI workflows that actually save time, reduce friction, and help you think better.

Ledger & Logic exists to explore that gap.

This is where I write about the useful stuff: prompts, workflows, tools, experiments, and real-world ways finance professionals can use AI without becoming full-time tech people.

By day, I work in FP&A. On Ledger & Logic, I share what actually happens when you take AI beyond the demo and try to make it useful in real professional work.

No hype. No jargon for the sake of it. No pretending every new tool is revolutionary.

Just practical ideas for people who work with numbers, systems, reporting, and decision-making - and want to get more leverage from AI.

If that sounds like your kind of thing, you’re in the right place.
